Hey all...... I hope that everyone is well and trying to keep out of trouble.

A few things have happened around the station lately so I thought it was about time to fill everyone in on the goss!!

We are having another market day..... so mark your diary or calendar for the 16th September.  This is the RFS Open day as well so it is bound to be a great day for all.  The next day to remember is the 18th November.  We are hoping to hold our next market / jumble sale on this day, so please keep us in mind if you have anything you would like to donate to our brigade that we will be able to sell.

Since Mick decided to come to our brigade from Llandilo (ha ha Llandilo we have him) a few months back, it seems he has brought some energy with him that we needed,  we are getting stuck back into the idea of raising funds to get our new desperately needed station.

We have just had our most recent group finish their BF course, so congratulations to Yevette, Brian and Matthew.  It will be great having you out on the fireground with us.

Last night a few from our brigade attended the RFS Ball at St Marys Leagues Club.  It was a great night and all up there was approximately 270 people who attended.  I found the perfect dress to wear to it and bought it about 2 months before the ball.  I was horrified to see a girl walk through the door in the exact same dress as mine....... it was suppose to be my dress!  It made me feel better when another girl at my table came back and sat down feeling the same way I felt....she spotted her dress elsewhere too!!

On the 26th August we have Brett from our brigade participating in the 'Bluey Day' fundraiser...... yes, those lovely locks he has been growing are going to be shaved off for a fantastic cause......to raise funds for equipment, treatment or support for children and their families living with cancer or serious childhood illnesses.  Good luck Brett and thank you from everyone who has been touched by cancer or those child hood illnesses.  If you would like to offer your support you can join us at 'The Good Guys' in Penrith on the day.

If you would like any further information on any of the above or perhaps you may be interested in joining our brigade please don't hesitate to email me at kellamos@bigpond.net.au .   If you would like to come to the station to see what we are all about you can come along on a Tuesday night at 1900hrs..... we are a easy going bunch and would be happy for you to pop in and say hello.

Take Care

Buzzard.
