Click on thumb nail to enlarge Pacey our newly elected training officer did a mountain of work and put together several scenarios in a structure fire Drill, this was an excellent drill giving all our CABA operators a chance to "Blow" a cylinder in a realistic drill. Part of the drill the station was set up as a house with walls and living areas, it was then filled with smoke and the CABA operators then had to find their way around the "House" in the dark looking for "Safety Sam" our resident training dummy. whilst the CABA part of the drill was taking place a multitude of scenarios were unfolding out side for the rest of the crew to deal with, such as blown hoses, venting LPG cylinders, the fire impinging on surrounding structures. This was a great exercise and every one had a chance to work many different roles including some AF qualified people stepping up to the task of crew leader, and I'm pleased to say every one performed faultlessly on the night, thanks for putting in all the effort on this Pace, I cant wait to see what you have in store for us next. if you have any ideas for training exercises email Pace and let him know pacey@firebusters.info
